Simple Wishes for Complicated Times
Walk around feeling like a leaf. / Know you could tumble any second. / Then decide what to do with your time. - Naomi Shihab Nye
This last stanza from one of my favorite poems has been circling and hovering over my days. I’m using it as a gauge for sanity and clarity during the inevitable frenzy of the holiday season, and as a trusted touchstone for my upcoming 60th birthday year.
I share it here in all of its elegant simplicity for your joyous and creative use during these December days and the approaching New Year.
Many thanks for your readership, support, and presence in the world, and the very best to you and yours. See you in January.
